I had to think, what would I send?
I hopped it would be something, to recommend.
My kids they all stamped on the salad
They mashed up the chips
And said veggies weren’t valid
They spilled every drink, Right next to my sink
They trampled the card, but that wasn’t so hard
Their fingers were icky, now what made them sticky?
With chocolate spread all over the walls,
I may paint for Pesach at least all my halls
The kids cried for the puddings, I slipped into the bag.
So I gave it to them, they know how to nag.
As much as I tried, I couldn’t do better
At least I managed, to salvage this letter

I know with our life, we could gloat
See me family and me, lives on a boat
We sail the far seas, and we do as we please.
Now me brothers they all look for fish,
And me mother she bakes a sweet dish
But a secret, I’ll tell just to you
That although I dearly love the crew
If I see one more fish, served in a knish
I may just move out~ and that’s true

or the end could be
If I see one more fish, served in a knish
I may just move in with you

Purim is busy I have so much to do, Running around the entire day through

I heard the megillah,And am off to a good start

Helping my neighbors I try and do my part

So happened to see a basket nearby

What made me look I don’t quite know why

I caught Goldilocks placing her things on the ground

Fixing her hair thinking no one around

I looked at her meshalos manos when she set it down

Just wanted a peak while it sat on the ground

Needed to know what she hid from display

Wanted to know what she would give away

Whatever it was would be too cold or too hot

Not something that could possibly just hit the spot

I was just not prepared for such a fresh smell

Piping hot bagels from what I could tell

Sweet creamy cheese all wrapped up quite neat

Smothered in lox my favorite treat

I held all the items and took one look at the food

I realized that this treat would so increase my mood

Just one little bite was all that I did need

I wasn’t be haughty or filled with much greed

I almost took what wasn’t for me

I almost grabbed it before she could see

But then my yatzer tov did happen to glance

The names on the card were not just there by chance

It was the 3 bears who I know oh so well

They live down the street and from what I can tell

They certainly would notice if that bagel wasn’t whole

I wouldn’t want them angry all cuz I stole

I handed it back to the girl with blond hair

And told her to watch her basket with care

I am quite proud that I had some restraint

After all 3 bears being angry would not have been quaint

So I smiled and wished her a perfect day

Knowing the bears would love what she gave away

I already posted in a different thread, but then I saw this thread and it seems like this is the right place to ask...
My kids are being dressed up as Indians. I baked Karachi Biscuits, AKA Indian tea bputting for mm. I'm also putting in chai tea and Indian spiced nuts. I'm putting all those things on a palm leaf plate and shrink wrapping.
I'd like to write a short poem-a 4 liner or something. I feel that otherwise people won't get it without explaining (these are Indian tea cookies...) I'd like to mention "Hodu" in the poem (Hodu from the megilla was India). The problem is that I can't thing of anything to write that doesn't sound lame or super-corny. Any of you ladies have ideas?

The team is all huddled were watching the score
The crowds are going wild and yelling galore
A touchdown is needed to win this great game
The ---- family is ready to make it to fame
The quarterback is sweating and ready to go
The ball in his hands, he knows how to throw
The tension is building and everyone knows
Every second counts, the tension just grows
But in the middle of the game we had to just pause
To hear the megilla amidst great applause
Yes despite the game we managed to do
A few of the mitzvos like coming to you
But we have to get back to winning a goal
After all we are needed at THE super bowl

This Purim I promised to have something special to send
I wanted something my friends would recommend
I thought of the baking that I could do
The frosted cakes I could send to you
I wondered and worried what would be best
A fortune I did not really have to invest
As I chased after the twins one was here, one was there
I noticed the milk spilt under a chair
Some diapers I had would fill up a room
And the thought of some sleep had me ready to swoon
My husband and I and the babies so sweet
Wanted to give you something to eat
But the end of the day we were too tired to bake
And had just one question while we were still awake
It wasn’t what foods we could send your way
That wasn’t what really mattered on this special day
By the end of Purim when things have settle a bit
Would you send someone over just to babysit!

As I left my home near the Taj Mahal
I happened to notice someone I had to call
My sari was long and I worried I’d slip
But I had to remember why I was on this trip
I needed to deliver the foods today
Special for Purim they would come your way
It does not matter how far I must go
From Hodu ad cush and that you must know
Though sleet and rain we will manage to try
And make this day special before returning to Mombai
And if by chance you see a holy cow
You may share what I send since its kosher chow

I dream of a Purim when I can start my day
Relaxing with a coffee in a nearby café
An omelet I’ll order maybe mushroom or cheese
Or sipping hot cocoa enjoying the breeze
Perhaps a bagel I can order while I wait
With cream cheese and lox resting right on my plate
The things I would do to start my day
If only I had it all my way
But to tell you the truth I am really so rushed
The milk it was spilt and the cereal crushed
The family is running to deliver to you
A lovely breakfast with a nice thing or two
And I hope you enjoy it on this special day
And if there is some left over just send it back my way

this is a variation of one I already wrote

I’ll tell you a story that will have your head spin
It takes place in Shushan, yes that’s where we’ll begin
There was a plot to end the old King’s life
It was after he took that pretty green wife
Mordechai saved the day and stopped the deed
Which was the first step to saving us, agreed?
So he hears the plot to do the king in
And he saved the day so the Jews will win
But it was forgotten all sealed in the kings book
Buried in the pages where he barely did look.
If it wasn't for the night the king couldn't rest
And why was that? You may not have guessed
The king every night would drink his tea
Sipping it ever so lovingly
It was normally a brew that would help him sleep
No need for that king to spend time counting sheep
No, a sweet chamomile would have the king pass out
Which his staff would provide without a doubt
But the cupboard was bare when it was time to serve tea
And the steward switched it nervously
A very strong brew of earl grey was found
At the time the move seemed rather sound
So that brew now filled with caffeine galore
Had the King toss and turn and unable to snore
So the rest is all written in the megilla for all to read
I am glad you now are caught up to speed
Its how the tea simply saved the day
And just for that we'll send some to you today
So remember the megilla when you drink coffee or tea
Since we appreciate the staff here very fondly
For this may not be the megilla as you did teach
But it isn’t such an unbelievable reach
