My 23 month old DS just stopped nursing. I found that once he was about 13-14 months and drank a lot out of a sippy cup that if I wasn't around he didn't care about nursing. If I was there he wanted to nurse but if I weren't there he was fine. There was a time when I was nursing only morning and night. I ended up with DH in the ER in the middle of the night and DS was with my parents. I was so worried that DS would freak out in the morning to be nursed but my mom said that he didn't say a word. Also toward the end he would go 1.5- 2 days without nursing sometimes and then come back.
So, I think that a toddler can be left for 1.5 days even without pumping and they would be fine and you would still have plenty of milk.
