I work in an office and was invited to my boss's daughter's wedding (this daughter's second marriage). Is it very impolite not to go? I said I'd come to the chuppah but really not in the mood to go at all. Is it o.k. to not show? (I believe I was invited because she had to invite me as I work for her etc.)

You should be a person of your word. Next time, make up a real excuse and stick to it.

My boss invited me to her son's wedding. I only went for the chuppah because I didn't know a soul & didn't want to sit alone for the meal.
