This is a sort of strange question. DH and I were in the process of buying an apartment. It fell through. We are now moving away from the buying and are just renting but our (please please G-d willing) future landlord wants credit checks etc. So we called the mortgage guy we used. Now I am pretty sure we paid him some base fees originally when we were looking to buy, but I know he didn't get a large portion of what he ahd wokred towards when we didn't get the apartment. He had been so nice through the whole process, and continues to be surer helpful -- even though it is clear we won't be paying him.
I would really like to do something to show him our appreication (and possibly make a kiddush Hashem -- he has never worked with relig. Jews) for all the ways he has helped us. Any ideas?
