I made the dough for the Crinkle cookies from Kosher Palette 2 and the it's so hard to roll the cookies out. It's so sticky. Does anyone know what to do?

I have the recipe from somewhere else, but my instructions say to put the dough in the fridge for a while (preferable overnite, but a couple of hours is good too). then its alot easier to roll.
