This is a really beautiful song on tznius...

But...

And a reallly big but...

Its not from a Jewish source. Its from a muslim source. But its in english and beautiful and powerful and if one word- hijab, was changed for the word tznius, it would be a perfect tool to inspire about tznius...

So feedback. (AAnd if you want to be whatever, dont. just close your eyes when you listen to the song.)

The tune comes from a jewish song or is origional from a non jewish song?
The are tsnuis in the outside but what happens in the inside?

This video is filled with young girls, some are children. If this teaches us anything, it's that some of them feel the same way the women here do -- they dream of a life where somebody will understand their positive feelings about modesty, and their desire to follow what they believe God expects of them. Why would you turn this into something negative? Finding something in common with other cultures, particularly this one, should be a good thing.

Pretty song, by the way.

I thought it was a beautiful song. Of course they would never have a woman singing it, but it would have been more appropiate that way.

interesting.

I think its even more interesting that Clarissa wants to find similarities to the Moslem nation.
I will admit, I have heard Rabbanim say that there are two ways that we should work on ourselves bc the Mosloms are "one-upping" us: on tznius, and tfilah.

And the way they say the word "anarchy" makes it sound like they are calling everybody else "infidels"!

I'm glad you find it interesting.

I like finding similarities between my culture and just about every culture out there, but it can be particularly beneficial in the cases of cultures that have historically had great problems. Finding common ground and values can be enlightening, reassuring and encouraging.

"enlightening, reassuring, and encouraging"

For what purpose? They want to kill us and we want to kill them!

I'm so glad it's as simple as that. I can stop wasting all of this time thinking and trying to get a handle on why the world is such a mess. Whew, more time for perusing cookbooks.

Why are you tryingto get a handle on why the world is such a mess?
Our Rabbanim have stated the reasons many times.

I think this would make an excellent foreign policy. Rivkie, you should run for President. I'm not sure of what, but when I figure it out I'll let you know.
