What are some things that a little girl needs before entering grade one, not including textbooks? Do most girls have generic stuff or the cutesey type of supplies?

The school should give you a supply list. About the cutesy stuff, I think it depends on your daughter. I got my daughter this really cute knapsack. She liked it and then hated it because other kids said things about it. Banging head
