I hav always wanted to make these do if you try them tell me how they come out

Cookies:

3 Cup flour
1.5 cup vegetable shortening (no substitutes)
1.5 cups sugar
1.25 tea baking soda
1 egg
.25 cup chocolate chips

In large bowl mix at medium speed mix four-baking soda. Add the egg and mix until cough forms. Melt thee choclate and using a knife marble the chocolate through the dough as best you can.

Using parchment paper roll the dough into 3 logs approx 2.5-3 inches in diameter. Freeze for .5-1 hour to ease slicing..

Preheat oven to 350 and spry 2 cookie sheets with non-stick spray or cover with parchment paper. Slice each log into 12-15 cookies and bake 12-15 minutes. Let cool.

Fudge glaze:
6 oz chocolate chips
3 tbl vegetable shortening
1 tbl confectioners sugar

melt the chocolate with the shortening stirring until smooth and shiny. Drop a puddle of glaze onto the center of each cookie and refrigerate 10 minutes to set the chocolate. Store cookies in a single layer so the fudge is not disturbed.
