It's already 7:30 and I don't know where to go.
We were supposed to go out tonight for our anniversary.
Originally we had a milchig place in mind. DH just decided he wants fleishigs.
He wants: Fleishigs, nice place, GOOD food, and different from the norm.
Somewhere he can get a good steak.
I'm easy going. As long as they have food for picky eaters.....

Any suggestions?

Or Le Marais - never been but heard it;s good. I've been to Prime Grill & it was great for DH & his aunt & uncle who like steak. I only like chicken so I had very few choices.

I'm surprised no mentioned Tevere. That was our favorite so far.....I should've posted where we've been already. Estihana - DH doesn't like Prime Grill - haven't gone yet. Heard VERY pricey for small portions. We're saving that for when we run out of other choices.Wolf'n'Lamb - DH has been there. (He wants something "different from the norm" this time.)Le Marais - been thereYunkees - never heard of. Does it still exist? More info, please? Will we feel like prewar era? (That would be quite dif... altho not what DH had in mind)
Abigaels - been there (btw, not so impressed)
Mikes Bistro - what's it like? where is it?
La Carne - what's it like? where is it?

I'll have to check into these few places.

But I found online, Talia's Steakhouse & Carciofi (Brooklyn - Kings Hwy)
Anyone know anything about those?

BTW, we're not going in the end tonight:(
After 2 years of living in this apt, DH finally decided to put up the curtains in the kids room.
All day, he figured he had plenty of time to do it. He finally began at 5:00.
He's just finishing up now. He didn't want to stop, knowing he won't get back to finishing it until we move again. So we had to cancel the babysitter......

I though the OP wanted Manhattan -- if not, another big vote for glatt a la carte. Yum food, great service, and good ambience.
