Does anyone have the Kosher by Design, Short on Time cookbook?
If so, would you please be able to type up the tomato crisp recipe for me?
Thanks.

In London tomatoe crisps is what you would call potatoe chips with a tomatoe flavour. Though I doubt thats what fantabulous meant.

It definitely is interesting! It's like a cranberry crisp, but with tomatoes instead of cranberries and panko bread crumbs for the crisp. (Also fresh parsley and fresh garlic.)
You have to like the cooked tomato taste to like it though.
I do have the recipe at home somewhere, but I'm at work and would like to know what I have to shop for! If no one posts it today, I'll try to post it sometime over the weekend.

Panko (パン粉, Panko?) is a variety of breadcrumb from Japanese cuisine and French cuisine used to create a crunchy coating for fried foods such as tonkatsu. Panko is made from bread without crusts, thus it has a crisper, airier texture than most types of breading found in Western cuisine. Outside Japan, it is becoming more popular for use in Asian and non-Asian dishes, and is often available in Asian markets and specialty stores. Increasingly, it's also available in many large supermarkets. Panko is produced worldwide, particularly in Asian countries including Japan, Korea, Thailand, China and Vietnam.

Make sure to buy the panko that has no flavor added. I once bought it and it had green leaves and things in it, it tasted like tea!

right, the two types with seasoning were really horrific. The plain ones are great for breading etc as well.

the crispiness that the panko bread crumbs give it is an important part of the taste. It would be mushy with regular bread crumbs.
