I need suggestions for shabbos foods that are easy to travel with, preferably things that dont need heating, because where we're going we won't have much ability to heat up our food... asap please, thanks!

how are ANY salads travelable? You get there and you find the juice/sauce/liquid spilled EVERYWHERE!!!

Potato Salad. Stuffed vine leaves (they come in a can). Egg salad. Beet salad. Avocado salad.

Deli Meat. Deli roll (like a swiss roll, but pastry and deli meat, with ketchup/mustard.) Tastes good cold. Chopped liver. Fish balls. Jarred gefilte fish (I may be weird, but I like it!). Shnitzel.

make the salad, and take the dressings seperately.

sweet potatoe or squash pie is pretty good cold.

if you want a salad, take canned things- like beans, mushrooms, peas, carrots, whatever- anything but lettuce, for a veggie salad, and mix before eating. if you bring something like marinated mushrooms or peppers, that can serve as a base for a makeshift dressing to which you can add lemon juice, pepper, salt, etc, which you can find anywhere (even if you go to a hotel, they can provide you with pepper! if its not already by the coffee maker).
if you want a fruit salad you can do the same thing
Kugels are great to travel with because I like eating them best (except potato=best hot optimally) lukewarm anyway so its perfect
packaged cold cuts hold up better than most other meats. I guess anything that is vacuum packed travels well thats the truth

or take your crock pot with you and make a fleishig chulent
buy frozen meat take it out of the freezer right before you leave. should be fine for quite a few hours
we usually do this. you can also buy like a "rice cooker" which is smaller cheaper and obviously easier to travel w than a full size crock pot.

It's almost impossible to get deli meat since Agri's troubles. But a cold sliced roast would be nice, with the aforementioned salads.

This makes me hungry.

When we go away for shabbos and I bring food here is what I bring.

cole slaw
Shnitzel
a kugel or 2

deli salad ( I just bring the stuff I need and make it there)
crock pot for cholent ( made there too)

I never had a problem with any of these dishes. If I think it may spill I put it in a container plus a bag or 2.

Pack your salads in ziplock bags -- they won't leak. I always do that to save on fridge space.
