I found that if you make mashed potatoes and put in sauted onions in you potatoes and then you lay potatoes in a strip before the cold cuts you get potatoes in the middle of your deli roll and it tastes like having a potato and meat knish. It works great. I had never made deli roll and my kids kept telling me about how good it was and they had had it at their friends houses so I tried it with this little extra and they said it was the best one they had ever had
