Is there anything wrong with giving your baby expired formula? Or from a can that's been opened for a while?
my baby barely takes formula just once in a while so this can I can honestly say has probably been open since he was born, like 6 months ago.

dont take the risk
is there anything wrong with it? probably not. But do you wan to be the .1%? is it worth betting your 6 mo olds life on it? Buy the small canister which is like 12-14 dollars rather than 25 or so. Its well worth it.

We once accidentally gave dd from formulla that had been in the diaper bag longer than we thought and she threw it all up about a minute after she drank it, so it definately wasnt good anymore. And it definately was a lot less than 6 months old. So I wouldnt risk it...

I would not have taken that risk either. I remember our local makolet once sold us expired Materna, and we sent it back and got a whole load of coupons and stuff. It's quite serious, I believe, to give a baby expired formula.
