mbk I would google that to see if there's a health risk and I would call Magic Mill to complain.

How old is your crock? Maybe they would give you a replacement.

thanks...I think ill try to get their contact info! I purposely bought this model because a- its really sleek looking and pretty..not klutzy if you know what I mean,, and b-more importantly, I thought it would remain like new for a long time due to the price and supposedly good coating. well,,,, I was wrong . I also liked the fact that it wasnt the kind you insert into .....sort of like the earthenware kind, because I found them impossible to clean once they got greasy ( the metal part) . I hope im being clear... thanks

I have used them according to instructions and have had them melt anyway. if you want to make cleanup easier, spray the crock pot with pam before putting the ingredients in. it works pretty well.

aha! theres my answer. I dont think ill be using it. I might just go buy a new one tomorrow iyh. And I think ill go with the earthenware kind after reading that! thanks again!

Did any of you know that using teflon coated cookware around birds, specifically parrots , can kill them? I sometimes wonder if living in a bubble is the only way we can stay healthy!

I once got woozy from teflon fumes. I switched to stainless steel.
