I bought carrot applesauce instead of the regular applesauce to try it and didn't realize it had sugar in it. It is super sweet and no one will eat it. We like only unsweetened applesauce here in general. I want to make carrot muffins but am not sure if it is too wet to substitute for the carrots alone. Maybe I can use half the amount of my stuff for the carrot puree and add more carrots and then use half of it for the oil/applesauce part. Also, put in less sugar because it is sweetened. Any ideas?
