my 5 month baby does this thing with his face, he seems to be going all tense and his forehead goes all red in patchs?
does anyone know what this could be?
should I go to dr?

....well, my first thought is: check his diaper...and if he's on solids, maybe a bit more fiber?

Is he also grunting when that happens? It sounds like he's trying to poop. I don't know for sure, but my baby did that when he was a little constipated.

yep, sounds like constipation to me. try giving him some carrot juice.
