I bought a hi-riser from Brooklyn Baby - they used to be on Coney Island AVe and now are on Avenue M between 12th & 13th. I paid between 300 and 400 (it was 2 years ago, though)

We are looking into bunkbeds, and we found someone advertising on craigslist. He has a store on like 95th street or something like that. He sells all kinds of BR furniture like bunkbeds, high risers, cribs, mattresses... for very cheap. He was selling a high riser for about 225. We went to check it out, he looks very legitimate (he says he is jewish but not frum). He says he plans to advertise in the local BP papers but just opened recently and didn't get there yet.
I will ask my husband for his number and address if you want it.

Call Hatzlacha Furniture. Even though are not in your area, they deliver free of charge. And you can trust the fact that their prices are usually cheaper than any other store.
I can look up their phone number in the phone book if you'd like.

I got the number from my husband. 646-510-6760. You can tell him that Chaim, the person he spoke to about advertising in the Boro Park newspapers, sent you. You can negotiate a better deal. The mattresses for $50 are cheap ones, so you might consider getting a little better ones, although you will still find him to have the cheapest price anywhere. He won't charge tax for cash, and he has free delivery.
