Anyone know if there's known negative effects to having a baby sitting in front of the computer (ie, on my lap while on imamother  ). Websites are usually busy, especially if there's ads. Is it like sitting in front of a TV?

Probably the same as watching tv. I try not to hold my baby too much in front of the computer, but I allow myself when he's nursing, or sometimes when he needs to go to sleep. If I turn on music on the computer, he falls asleep listening to it. He likes to watch the source of any music, even if it's a regualr cd plauer- he'll stand and watch the cd player as long as music is on. So he watches my computer play music as he falls asleep. It doesn't bother him that I'm using the computer at the same time.
