Hello, I'm at work, and my skirt keeps sticking to my tights!!! I'm too embarrassed to walk around! How can I get rid of the static? I tried putting water on it but it doesn't help. How can I prevent this from happening again????? Thanks!

Get one of those laundry static sheets - like bounce, or whatever. Lift up your skirt and wipe it up and down on your tights - voila!

I always kept one in my desk at work.

That's incredible! I will go to Walmart during my lunch break and buy some!

Static spray, I use it almost every day!

(ps do not spray it in a small enclosed space, like a bathroom with the door closed, it can make you gag!)

What's the name of the static spray? And can it be purchased at Walmart?

Static Guard Static Cling Spray, it's been around forever. (blue can with orange cap)

I am pretty sure that they have it in walmart, I usually buy it at the drugstore in the laundry section.

Got hand lotion? Rub some right on your tights, front and back. Side benefit is it helps moisturize winter-dry skin, which Static Guard and fabric softener sheets do not.

No I don't. I have hand sanitizer. Would that work?

Probably, but it's very drying to the skin.

Thanks for the tip. It's a little bit better. Mine has aloe and Vitamin E so hopefully it won't dry out my skin!

static gaurd. You spray it on the slip while wearing it.

I spray it all over the tights (while I am wearing them) and the inside of the skirt as well.

That's what slips are for.

wear a slip.
also you can take a metal hanger and rub it over the inside of your skirt and tights and it pulls off the static. I dont think it lasts as long or is aas good as static spray but it def helps for a while.

Even slips can be staticky (like mine was on Sunday due to forgetting to use anti-static sheets in the dryer)...spritzing on water as a temporary measure helps.

I've spent the extra money and bought myself a small can of static guard to keep in the car/purse.

also it may be the skirt is just a static-y skirt but I've found it could also be the tights that you are wearing. when I wear opaque tights that are old and on their way out but no one can tell they look as bad as they feel (and I'm just too lazy or cheap to replace them) they cause extra static.

slips prove to be a moot point ... they go up with static ...

when you use the water, don't be stingy or afraid to get wet ... that's for emergency help

the dryer sheets are way better than static guard - since they not only work - aren't poisonous and have an aroma like a bouquet of fresh laundry ...
