Yocheved Schiff (I think) from camp sternberg made up this gorgeous song.
I dont know if its on tape but I'm sure it must be somewhere.
From somewhere deep inside my heart
a melody soars it has no start
it echoes in a haunting way
my memories of yesterday
It is the comfort of a soothing word
the whispers of secrets barely heard
it's the melody that has no end
it is the music that is freinds
chorus:
and friends will come and then will leave
as we through mazes of life weave
and somewhere deep inside us all
will always be a cheerful call
and someday soon we'll reunite
and sing this song of strenght and might
and on that day as we meet again
we'll find that we're still friends
It is the sound of a childs song
the sound of school bells ringing long
it echoes in a haunting way
my memories of yesterday
Bubbling laughter ringing clear
a song of happiness a song so dear
its' the melody that has no end
it is the music that is friends
chorus
The friendship that forever binds
transcends the aging, ignores the times
our paths our trodden
our youth is gone
but the music still plays on.

Malky giniger does have a friendship high school song. It's on one of her tapes. It's really nice
missing some lines, and some words are probably wrong.
looking back, remembering the years
sifting through the memories of friendship love and tears
friends who stood beside you
laughed when you were glad
shared in all your secrets
and cried when you were sad
someone to hold on to
always a time to give
someone who to learn from
to love and to forgive
Chorus:
remember today for tomorrow will come
and you'll look back and say
Thought it had just begun
for time has its ways
you can fly right through the days
so hold on and remember
Whispers in the darkness, a hand to dry my tears
...... ............................
......................
4 years of uniting, we formed a bond so strong
we'll always have these friendships and we'll always have our song...
we have all these moments hidden deep within our hearts
we must never forget them
no we can never grow apart
for we've come to be a family
each of us has her own pace
noone can eliminate the spark and glow upon each face
we all must part sometime
I'm afraid the time has come
but I hope you all remember
that we will forever be one
chorus
I don't know where you can find the tune but ask around for her tapes, it was a tape from a while ago. |
thanks! words are great & I'd love to hear the actual song? do you have any idea on which of her
cds I can find this song? I'm without internet now (replying via palm cell) & can't really browse the net here.

For Good. Search on YouTube - you can buy it on iTunes.
But I also really like Yocheved Schiff's song, which I just read on this thread. (Hey, I like Yocheved Schiff!)
There is also Friends, two neshamos joined... which I wrote! Part of it appears in Bracha Goykadosh's book Footprints In The Sand, and the teacher says she took it from somewhere else! I can't prove it but I wrote it!!! Anyone know it?

You may want to try (among others if you've already decided on some) The Times of Your Life:
"Good morning, yesterday.
You wake up, and time has slipped away."
Et cetera.
I'm sure it's available as an iTunes download. Sorry, but I don't remember the singer.

Hi Choirmistress, welcome to Imamother!
I just wanted to let you know that it's a good idea to check the date of the original post before responding to a thread. This one is almost 5 years old, so I think the OP (original poster) made her decision a long time ago.
