I usually wash all the dolls and stuffed animals in net bags, in the washing machine.
I'd like to add a doll with hair this time as well.
Do you think it would work out well, or will the dolls hair be ruined?

is it meant to be washed that way ? I'd think the hair would suffer.

I do it in a zippered pillowcase on extra-care wash with towels or kids blankets as a buffer, and use a sml amt of shampoo instead of detergent. But, yeah, they never look the same...some eyelashes always fall out, and the hair gets ruined to various degrees.

Ok, thanks ladies.
I guess I'll be washing the doll in the bathtub.

The hair always got nasty no matter how we tried. Now we buy hairless baby dolls. LOL

Another thing I don't have to deal with right now as the mother of boys!

Doesn't the American Girl Doll company fix this?--See, that's why it pays to get expensive dolls!

Maybe, but dolls in general kinda freak me out. Don't ask why, even as a kid I didn't like them. The only ones I like are the little Corolle ones. We have two 12 inch nice baby dolls with no hair. My MIL bought them and always find these cute little outfits at the dollar store.
