Last night, I left a pound of frozen broccoli to defrost in a pot and forgot to put it in the fridge when I went to sleep! It remained in the closed pot on the counter for 8-10 hours. I planned on using it for a broccoli kugel - can I still use it or do you think it's dangerous?

Thanks.

I would think so...they are just veggies.

What if you left it out frozen and only put it back in the fridge like 18 hours later?

Was it still cold? Did it smell funky? Unless it smelled odd, I'd use it. You're cooking it anyways.
