Please recommend pediatric orpthopedist, dentist and ENT

Either in Boropark or Manhattan. Nothing associated with Maimonides. Short wait and pleasant office staff a big plus!
Thanks!

Dr. Feldman is the best pediatric orthopedist around, as far as I know. However, he doesn't take insurance. You can use him if you have out of network coverage or if you are willing to pay out of pocket.
There aren't many good orthopedists who do take insurance.
Dr. Lois Jackson is a good pedadontist (however you spell that). She's located in Manhattan. There are probably very good ones in Brooklyn too.

Can you tell me where Dr. Feldman is located (I assume he isn't the one you had a nasty experience with? Smile) so I can check with my insurance? What about someone who does take insurance in case mine won't cover Dr. Feldman?

Dr. Feldman is in Manhattan, 240 E 18 St. Suite 21. And no, he is really nice. I wish I could be using him. Sad His number is 212-533-5310.
I don't know of any good ones who take insurance. Depending what you need one for, you may not need the best. I searched only the ones who were trained in the Ponsetti method of fixing club feet. When dd fractured her heel, we went to someone else who seemed okay, but I don't remember his name.

I really like my dentist, Dr. Joshua Canter in BP 718-972-2970. He's a general family dentist, but good with kids and takes insurances. He sees my special needs son as well.

I have been to Dr. Feldman, who is highly recommended, but no longer takes my insurance.

For ENT, I used to see Dr. Richard Rosenfeld in LICH, but I heard he dropped a bunch of insurances too. 718 780 1281.

If I were you, I would call Echo to recommend someone good who also takes my insurance.

The best won't hurt. Wink My baby's legs are different lengths. Only slightly, so I won't go to Feldman if he's not covered. But she has tiny teeth and one of her fingernails fell off just out of nowhere so I am thinking it might be bone related.

I used Dr. Scher in Hospital of Special Surgery. He accepts oxford. Othe plans too I'm not quite sure which one. He is amazing. They treat you liked royalty. I'm in love and so is my daughter. His success rate is amazing. Feel free to PM me for additional information. I did tons of research until I settled on Dr. Scher.
Good Luck.

Yes.
For a child that young it is usually just a look-see to make sure all is OK, a light cleaning to show it doesn't hurt and a lot of TLC and prizes to make it a positive experience. Smile

My daughter has a clubfoot and we used Dr.Scer. He was the third Doctor we usede. All he reccomended were excercises. When I left him b.c we changed insurances my daughter ended up needing serial casting b.c her ankle was so tight. I feel he is good for some things but he is much younger than all these other orthopedists who have way more experience. Right now I'm seeing Dr. Sheldon Simon. He doesn't always have the best bed side manner depending on the day but he knows what he's talking about. We use Dr. Goldsmith in LICH who I really like as an ENT and Dr. Wagshall as a pediatric dentist. He sure knows how to handle fussy kids.

Dr. Scher is an orthopedist. He is young but has the best statistics, and the best bedside manners. We also tried different orthopedists as my daughter had a severe and very rare foot deformity. I have had such an amazing journey I would recommend him anytime. (It didn't hurt that he also treats celebrities and junior sports leagues. It made me feel sooo important.)

If you want the really best orthopedic, I would recommend Dr. Jordan in Long Island. He takes no insurance, but is worth every penny spent. He knows each muscle, tendon, bone etc in the body. He is one of the old timers, office smells of oldiness, wears a bow tie, you get the picture. I used to go to him from upstate, sometimes a 3-4 hour trip, and don't regret it. Let me know if you need any more info or his number.

OK, I sorted through the orthopedists.
Feldman sounded so good, especially since he is affiliated with NYU, where all my baby's specialists are. I called my insurance, but their coverage is really too skimpy for us.

I looked up Sher and he sounds good.
I also looked up some in NYU... anyone have experience with

Dr. Errico, M.D.
Dr. Cardone D.O.
Dr. Frances M.P.H.

What do the suffixes mean? Why are they all different?

I know there is a Jewish referral organization of some sort. Does anyone have the info?

GAMZu, you're talking about Echo 845-425-9750. They really know what they are talking about, and usually know if the dr will take your insurance too.

We've seen Dr. Frances. She is a brand new doctor- just started practicing after the summer. I have nothing against her except that she's obviously not going to be the most experienced doctor around. I didn't see anything that made me like her. (She is officially the doctor we use at our clubfoot clinic. They need to have her there just so they can take insurance- she bills our insurance. But she doesn't usually even bother coming in to see us. I've only spoken to her a couple of times.)

Call MRA (Medical Referral Associates) for medical referrals. They are top and will match you up with the best doctor who accepts your insurance. (718) 854-5200

ENT: Dr. Ari Goldsmith with LICH (in Brooklyn) is amazing. 718-780-1498 Make sure to make an early morning appt so that you don't have to wait to long in the office.

Pediatric Dentist: Dr. Jonathan Waltner is Williamsburg is really good and accepts most insurance 718-218-7210

(if you're willing to pay out of pocket for a dentist, Dr. Weiss in BP is phenomenal. 718-854-3333)

Hatzlacha Rabba!
