Without it all going into the sink?

I've tried cheese cloth, but it just gets stuck. I put it and water in a pot and try to only pour the water out, inevitably, half goes down the drain.

So what do you do?

It has a bitter coating that needs to be rinsed off.

I rinse mine in a pot, using the lid to help me. A little ends up in the sink, but most stays in the pot. I like Trader Joes brand quinoa because I think it doesn't need as much rinsing.

Mine doesn't say that and I've never done it - and it's fine.

mesh strainer, and shpritz from all sides, and stir while rinsing until I feel it is clean. Then put in pot and add water, and if not clean enough, rinse in pot.

Which brand do you use?

All of the ones I've ever bought, says it and really needs it!

There's only one brand that I know of that is pre-rinsed. It says so clearly on the box. I bought that one for Pesach.

the one that I bought in Costco calls for soaking for half an hour and then I rinse it with the strainer of the hot water urn, a couple of rinses and is done.
The israeli brand of quinoa doesn't need to be rinsed.
