I passed by that cheap chinese place on 18th ave (Glatt Kosher Happy Family) and it was closed on Sunday. No one answered the phone the last few days. Anyone know what happened?

I passed by this morning. The metal gate was pulled down, however the door was open. Seemed that they were open for business..

hmmm

we do the shwarma place in flatbush when we are bored of them, walk out spending a bit less because we only order one plate of shwarma, an extra pita, balls are unlimited and I eat a huge plate of salad instead of lots of shwarma.....

Where in Flatbush is the shwarma place? that sounds good.

I looove the glatt kosher family chinese place. The fried beef dumplings, mmm...if they are still around I may have to get them tonight! I can maybe send DH on an exploratory mission.

I wouldn't be surprised..
Ever saw their kitchen?

Both of the above mentioned resataurants have awful ratings on the DOH website.

We'll miss them Sad

KD has combo specials and delivers for free now, like the chinese place. I guess the economy made them accomidate people. But who likes KD compared to Glatt Kosher Family. Sad

Famous Pita is on Foster and Coney Island Ave. Another great idea for well-priced awesome food is Shnitzi between Ave.s I and J on Coney Island Ave. Its a shnitzel bar, and they HUGE shnitzel sandwiches and HUGE shnitzel salads (I generally dont finish my portion). You can choose from a number of sauces and dressings. We enjoy going there for quick good food!!

Glatt Kosher Family was shut down by the health dept. I used to love them until I went once and they served me raw chicken! Puke
