Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH?

My 18 month old DS is a very picky eater. And likes unusual foods. But when he likes them, he LOVES them. This list would include things like gefilte fish, baked salmon salad, and black olives. I try to limit him with such foods, since he will eat as much as you've got... and then some. But it seems that although he eats his snacks at the babysitter (he's there 9-4), the only lunches he'll eat are gefilte fish and baked salmon salad.

Am I wrong for trying to limit him? I don't send the salmon often (it's oily and salty) but he does end up eating a lot of gefilte fish. Weight is definitely not an issue in one direction or the other.

Thanks for the input!
