I just made a ton of bread crumbs. Are they supposed to be stored in the freezer?

I store mine in the freezer....but that is because I don't use them right away. Make sure they are fully cooled, if you toasted the bread first (the heat could create moisture) , and then put in an air tight container...I use a zip lock bag and take out the extra air.

I'd freeze or refrigerate b/c they can go moldy after a while at room temp. even if you think they're Sahara-dry.

I always keep these things in freezer; you're better off safe than sorry.
