Any suggestions where to vacation within 3-4 hour drive from NJ. No kids coming along. Kosher Restaurants next to hotel big advantage!! Any suggestions?

Connecticut and rhode island are beautiful. I'm not sure about the kosher places though.

We did a Rhode Island trip more than once. It's fun, really nice and there should be minyanim. Not sure about food.

There is Deal, NJ which is probably very closeby. Gorgeous place to relax, stunning hotel (The Bungalow) and huge variety of kosher eateries.
Also, Lake George, Ny is a very nice place.

There's always boating, watching sunset while doing so. There's the old city/market (forgot what it's called). There are the mansions, which I found that men enjoy equally as much as women. You need to choose the right mansions for your tastes, but my husband was fascinated by the grand scale of everything. There are some other interesting historic sites. Ocean Drive is a long drive by the side of the ocean and you have beautiful homes, gardens, and other stuff to see. There's a park where you can have a barbecue while watching sunset over the ocean (we bought a 9 dollar grill at walmart and shlepped that along in our trunk, as well as cleaned, marinated and frozen chicken wings etc...) There are some beautiful streets to drive through, as well as the topiary garden (some like it, some don't). I think there's also a winery. There's the miles long walk next to the ocean (can't recall what it's called).
Bottom line, it's a fun place, without being 'wild', which I don't like.
