The mikvah has given my DH jock itch in the not so distant past. And now my 5 yr old who also goes to mikvah is starting to itch.
How does that happen? How do you prevent it besides not using the mikvah?

Isn't Jock Itch a yeast infection? It's probably not from the mikvah.

ditto.
It is probably from not drying well.

Its similar to athletes foot - same spray is used for both, so I assume its communicable like athletes foot

I think it comes more from not drying well, and the reason it would come from the mikvah is that the men are probably embarrassed to dry themselves in that area rigorously in public. Or they use the same area of the towel on their feet and there.
