One of my sons is nearing bar mitzva and so the Coney Island beach is no longer a place I want to take my family to. My kids looooooove to play with the sand and water. Would anyone know of a local place I can take my kids to? Somewhere where the bikini-clad gals do not hang out.....
Thanks!

IS there a beach in BP? I've never seen one, but would love to know if there is. I guess any beach in NYC or USA for that matter si gonna have bikini-clad women on it. You can always try Israel

I know it's not a beach, but if theywant sand, at Prospect Park ( entrance at Prospect Park West & 3rd Street) in Park Slope is a great all enclosed playground with sprinkler, swings, monkeybars etc. & a sand box. There are very nice Park Slope people there.

ok...honestly this is what I have learned..
Unless u have a friend with a private beach, will not happen.
Other option is to wait until there is bad weather, aka rain, or fog, or cold. Then the Bikini people tend to avoid until the sun comes out.
We once visited a friend in Rhode Island, and it was foggy every day!! But u know what?? The beach was awesome! We basically had it all to ourselves
