This feels sorta weird (self-plug, anyone?) but I'm so excited about this that I had to share it with SOMEONE (or, in this case, someones, plural - but let's not get bogged down in semantics..)

Anyhow - to anyone who enjoyed Shortchanged or Standards - new novella coming up Imy"H next week, and it's something COMPLETELY different. Very.

*Does Very Excited Dance*

So beg, borrow, or buy - and tell me what you think! I'm ravenously curious to see if this one goes over with everyone.

I'm trying to think what I can post without leaving spoilers. Nope, sorry. Won't work... Smile
Can't wait to see you there!

YEAH!!!!! I can't wait. I am new to Binah, but I so looked foward to reading Shortchanged and was sad that it ended right when I started my subscription. But I have yet to be disappointed by any of hte peices you have written. Wish you could give us a little hint what it will be abt, but its ok we will find out soon enough. Thanks so much for making my shabbos a little more relaxing/enjoyable.

Can't wait! I'll give u some nachas. My husband and I love your stories. We wait till Friday night and once the kids are asleep, we read it aloud to each other and that way we can follow it together.
So not his type, but he loves your work.

Yay! I'm still re-reading 'Standards' - there was almost nothing worth reading in this week's Binah Sad
And still waiting for the cameo appearance of Morris...

Scotty - I read the first installment. I go for more of the family-style writings rather than fast paced ones, but I am looking forward to the rest.

I am also loving Libby Lazewnik's novel.

On the whole, I love almost every Binah article and feature (I don't read all the medical related ones or parenting answers if the question doesn't interest me). I have a whole bin of back copies, and sometimes when I read ones from the first year or two of the magazine I realize how very far it has come!

1. Finally received the Jeffrey story from Binah - liked it. I enjoyed your 'unreal realities' Thanks!
2. Finally found the 'Morris' cameo appearance - more like a teaser - what happened to them next? The story was really inspiring though.
3. Loyalties: hmmmm.... I can't comment yet cos I don't want to be accused of spoilers Twisted Evil

WHOA! A veritable cornucopia of delicious comments!! Thank you, everyone!!

OMG, each one of these comments is nicer than the next! B"H, so glad you enjoyed! *grins maniacally* Aha, now I feel empowered to do those niggling corrections on Part 2 and finish Part 3 (and start Part 4..?)

Please please do tell what you think! You've got an interested ear here!

Scotty I have to admit that the story line in LOYALTIES is VERY different than anything by you I have read so far. I have to admit that it came across to me as a bit to stereotypical for a frum action story. I am willing to be patient and not pass judgement however since you are such an incredible writer. I LOVED your "Sewing Seeds of Honor".

I'm impressed you are tackling a topic not usually touched.

As for the story of the grandfather, I was LOL (literally) at the reference to Morris and bshaah Tova to Blanche Wink

Like everyone else around here, I just love your stories! But I do have to admit that to me your stories are first about their words and only then about their plot. Books that have full characters and great use of language take faster with me than exciting plots. With you Scotty I think I would even enjoy reading a research report!

Just curious scotty, is the new novella based on the story of Rubashkin? I just noticed some similarities.... btw- I loved the quick supper article that you put out a couple of weeks ago.

My thoughts? If it turns out he's guilty, then this is new ground. If he's a tzaddik that is being framed somehow - btdt. But it was still fun.

I love your new story. Even though it's way too early to know what's going on, I still enjoyed reading it. I do hope that it doesn't turn out the typical way we'd all expect... y'know father's innocent, his worker hid the money, etc...
And btw- I LOVED the Morris reference. I reread it 3 times cuz' I was shepping such nachas from them Wink

WHEEEE!
So many yummy comments! Is it terrible if I admit I peek before, during, and after work...?
Btw - everyone, thanks to you folks, I've decided to spend a little more time on the story and add a chapter or two instead of hurrying it so I'll finish earlier... GO IMAMOTHER!

Heh heh.

I think - er, how to say this? - the point is being missed here... I'm trying to figure out how to explain it without giving it away. All I'll say is, I hope you guys will be surprised. Any Holmes fans out there?

THANK YOU FOR SHARING, EVERYONE!!!

PS. Re Morris... yeah, it was a tease *laughs wickedly* but hey, can't give everything away. I think I might add a short story tie-in to the novel this summer Imy"H... schedule pending, of course. And I'm hoping to add extra content in the form of a really neat and fascinating piece about the Millers with pics! Any other features you'd like to see?

PPS. The kid's name is Joseph - Joey. Ok, that's all the spoilers for today Smile
