ds is turning six soon, and I want to get him something really special as we recently had a baby and he has been a tremendous help. he already has a bike and a scooter. He has lego and playmobile. What other toys/games are there that he will love?

my kids love clics.
maybe an electronic laptop with learning games? My 6 year old son is asking for one of those.

Leapfrog
Is he reading/starting to read? They make magnetic poetry for kids (with bigger magnet tiles and simpler vocabulary).
Is he learning how to tell time? Maybe a watch or a clock with easy-to-read hands/face?

If you/dh is able, give him the gift of a....DAY!!
Watever he wants to do (w/in reason!), just the 2 or 3 of you.
Trip to town, with lunch, visit to toy store, etc.
Special museum if he has a specific interest
Amusement park
Visit to someone
Maybe even a short airplane trip (my cousin did this - got a cheap flight to nowhere, USA., wandered around, flew home. He still talks about it!!!)
