so my mother made a party and she went to the ice cream store and the cakes where so expensive so she asked around for a homemade easy 1 and it was a knockout e/o was raving about it and its very simple here goes

in a SPRING-FORM pan 1/3 of the batter of the dunkin hines butter recipe golden (OU PARVE) or any vanilla cake
buy a whole container of parve ice cream and let it defrost pour it over the cooled cake and refreeze

for the topping mix
1/4 cup choco chips
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup karo syrup
heat up and pour over the ice cream and on top put crushed Viennese crunch or any nut topping
n-joy!

Thanks for the recipe. I made it for this past Shabbos and it was a big hit. I doubled the topping as you mentioned because it sounded so yummy (and it was), but I found that it was so hard to cut through the topping layer (the ice cream wasn't too hard, and in fact started to squeeze out the sided when pressing down hard enough to cut through the topping).

If I do it again I probably won't double the topping to make it easier to cut, and I think I'd try it with a bottom crust of brownies rather than yellow cake.

ive made this - and it was soooo good!!!

my variation - I made lots of the topping (just with some rice krispies - used it to cover the bottom of the spring-form pan.
placed chocolate flavored soft icecream on it, refroze,
put another layer of the crunchy topping over the chocolate ice cream
placed a layer of cookie dough ice cream on top, refroze for 1 hour,
decorated the perimiter of the spring-form pan with the crunchy topping, refroze
took the spring form off and drizzled with melted chocolate and refroze -

LOOKED and Tasted AWESOME!!!!! - a bit of effort and some steps , but not too complicated!

THE BEST BDAY CAKE EVER!!!

(ive made it dairy as well as with 2 flavors of parve icecream!

Thanks for checking that -- no wonder I had a hard time Smile

I'll note that for the future.
