I'm making different flavors of ice cream for Rosh Hashana and I'm trying to buy the ingredients now and plan stuff.

So, When I make the ice cream, I

1) Whip eggs and sugar

2) add vanilla

3) add defrosted whip and whip

after that is when I normally add chips or flavorings. Should I add my pb (really soy nut butter Smile ) at the end or after #1?

Wht do you think?

At the end, but I would say don't mix it in with the mixer. Take a spoonful at a time and kind of swirl it in gently by hand.

That's what I originally was going to do, but you think it won't be too thick?

I am not familiar with soy-nut butter, but if it's similar to peanut butter, I think it will be fine. I've done it with peanut butter. If you want to make it easier you can melt the peanut butter (soy nut butter) a little first, either in the microwave or in a pot.

I would take maybe a quarter of the ice cream mixture and blend the peanut butter into that and then swirl or fold the two mixtures together.

thanks everyone. The melting in the microwave is a god idea, except mine is milchig. And if I took it and put the pb in a pot and melted it, would the hot pb then melt the ice cream?

And yes, soy nut butter tastes exactly the same as pb.

I wouldn't think so because the ice cream is not actually frozen yet, and there is probably much more ice cream mixture than peanut butter.

Depends how much ice cream you are making.
