Anyone freeze pareve/fleishig scalloped potatoes for later consumption?
I made extra today -- hope it works!

NO! Don't freeze them!! You CANNOT freeze raw OR cooked potatoes. I did this for Shavuot - froze my extra scalloped potatoes - and once defrosted they were watery and disgusting and mushy, I had to throw them away.
After Yom Tov I of course Googled it and found out that you cannot, in fact, freeze potatoes.

unfortuantly I think its a BAD idea to freeze them. they will be gross watery and soggy when defrosted.. maybe give ur extras to a friend. a nice mitzvah before yom kipper

I've actually heard that scalloped potatoes freeze really really well. I have 2 friends who have tried it successfully and continue to do so.
FYI, I have frozen potato kugel and I don't notice any difference - and I am VERY picky when it comes to my potato kugel. I have also prepared fresh chickens with potatoes underneath and frozen everything raw. It came out delicious after being cooked.
