What's wrong with that thread? I thought it was cute. Did someone find it offensive?

Goodness knows. Sometimes, the powers-that-be are too PC & at other times, they let the most offensive stuff through.

I too thought this was totally inoffensive & cute. Go figure! Scratching Head What

Miaow!

To clarify, CM...why must you say things so bluntly & offensively? Can't you couch the same message in a softer way? I know you're busy & need to say it quickly, but still... Rolling Eyes

I assume the mods locked it because someone complained. I was just wondering what made someone report it as I didn't see anything offensive. That's all.

I looked, but I didn't see any post reported. How bad could it have been?

I agree - looking at it again it looks like a great thread. I love people's creativity.

However, its possible that something nasty started on there, it got edited, and locked.

It would be nice to have a blurb on the bottom letting us know why.

The original thread is also now locked, so maybe the mods locked its "spinoff" as well?

I thought the second thread was cute, but I'd rather see them both go than keep the first one around.

Hey, that was my idea. I can't believe it came and went without my noticing. Gotta track this down.

I'm Lubavitch so I'm allowed to:

- make shehakol on rice
- not sleep in the sukkah
- keep TH differently from the rest of the frum world
- wear a shtotzy sheitel without any guilt
- learn chumash, chassidus, (and even gemora)
- travel the world and find anash everywhere...

I thought it would be a cute lighthearted thread where we could learn about each other.

I don't know the pratim, but I do know we do some of the counting differently. I only learned lubavitch, but I do know it's different from the "rest" of the frum world.

a 100%, but all of those are things that Lubavitchers keep. Most chassidic women don't learn gemara, it's a rarity that there is generally one high school class on gemara in Bais Rivka.

And yes there are chabad houses everywhere.

Aidelmaidel - You make a shehakol on rice? I never knew that. Because it's not one of the chameshes minei dagan? But then wouldn't it be ha'adama?

Really curious, as I never came across this before. Wish I knew more Lubavitchers Smile

When I was Lubavitch once upon a time I was told that it's preferable to eat rice in a meal with a haadamah food a mezonos food and a shehakol food to cover all bases.

I thought so too. I got upset to see this one locked. There are all kinds of posts that I could see being offensive to some readers, while this seemed to me to be innocent fun.
I'm still trying to get it.

I agree. But must it be both or none?

Listen, this doesn't alter the fact that the original thread, a nice & harmless one, was locked. I'd like to know why.
