My DH's grandfather's name was Pesach and DH would like to use it for our next - but we are debating what to put on the Birth Certificate - we don't really like "Peseach" or "Pesach" on the birth certificate - any suggestions for "P" names would be appreciated.

OK serious names:

Preston
Parker
Phineas
Percival/Percy
Peter
Paul

You can also "buck the trend" and just go with a name you like having nothing to do with the hebrew name. Or pick a middah of the grandfather and find a name that embodies that.

Pessach is often Pascal (same root and initial).
My cousin Peysach was Pavel, his grandson is Paul.
Problem with Paul is that it's often Shaul and some people are annoyed to have to correct.Phineas would be the same problem with Pinchas...

Ds has a child in his class named Pacey - it turns out it's for Pesach! Too funny.

That's because the apostle Paul of Tarsis was originally called Saul (Shaul) of Tarshish.
I don't think I'd choose it.

I also say Philip or maybe even Peter. I do know a frum Peter and he has had a fine time with his name, he is under 40 too. Pacey is kind of a Dawson's Creek name now,even though it has been in use in our circles for a lot longer.

I also know FFB Philip's and they have all been fine with their name too.

The names I was going to say have been mentioned here already:
My brother had a friend (I'm pretty sure his Hebrew name was Pesach) named Pascal.
And my son had a boy in his class named "Pace," pretty sure it was short for Pesach. But he was CALLED Pace, not sure what it said on his birth certificate. Pace seems more like a nickname to me, not sure if I'd want to put it on a birth certificate just so the kid could have an English name. Unless you feel that it's for legal/workplace purposes, in which case, if you're not going to call him by his legal name anyway, feel free to pick any name you like.
