Anon because I'm on the dl about moving...
Does anyone know anything about Hewlett? We want to send our son to Yeshiva of South Shore that it right there. There's a shul in the school...Anshe Chesed of Hewlett.
Any info about the community would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I grew up technically in Woodmere, but down the block from Hewlett. Since nobody else answered I will.
Hewlett is one of the 5 towns--literally right next to woodmere. Anshe Chessed is a wonderful shul--Rabbi Lefkowitz is warm, personable and inspiring. I know quite a few people who daven there regularly a warm place to be. I haven't been there in yrs but I have a friend who told me recently that the Yeshiva Gedola of the 5 Towns now is hooked up with the shul which I imagine only makes it nicer.
In terms of shopping, food etc its all the same as teh rest of the 5 towns.
