Do you have weird words or phrases that you say and people are like, huh?
We, as in my family (mom, sis, etc..) have:
We say happy anniversity instead of anniversary because once we got an anniversary cake for my parents and the bakery wrote, anniversity, so since then that's what we call it.
On the bottom of the stairs in my parents house there's like an end table or something. I'm not sure why, but we call it George. I know it has something to do with me and my mother and we didn't know what to call it. My sister also has one, but hers is in her foyer and she also calls it George.
This one we don't do on a daily basis because we don't use the word on a daily basis, but we call cooperation, shirley because

My sister orders the large storage bags or challah bags, (whatever you call it, the 18x24) by case. Being that its a very big box the only place she found room to keep it was on a shelf in her living room, so she calls those size bags the living room bag.
I recently started ordering it by case too, but I have room in my kitchen so I keep it there but I also call it the living room bag.

Me and a bunch of my friends call immersion blenders "jooshers" (that's the best spelling I can come up with to describe it). No idea where that came from.
My husband and I have all kinds of made up words (mainly made up by him) that resemble baby talk but of course, we totally understand each other. Stuff like calling a book a "buttie" and a movie a "moodie". We think it's cute

We have "Abba Tachana", which is a code word for "Mommy does't let us talk about videos on Shabbos." Too complicated to explain the connection, but if somebody starts discussing a video at the Shabbos table, somebody else will stop him by saying "Abba Tachana".

we call croutons + cookoos. I'm not sure why, I grew up with that and now that's how I say it to my kids.
I tell me kids to "scrubble" in the bath, which means "wash yourself with soap until I see suds/scrubbles" I made up that word as a combo of scrub + bubbles.
"crumbles" are crumbs but it also means like a mess from crumbs,
"Big-fat-stinky-trouble" when a kid is about to "get it" it sounded scary the first time I said it but now is un"efective in my family.
"Hugangus" even bigger than tremendous

My mother always said mutcher for bothering (Stop "mutchering" your sister). I always thought it was yiddish but my sister told me know.
When I was little I called the "Try On Room" the Triangle room, so it kind of stuck.
I also called a washrag a rashwag, and we reference that sometimes.
DH's family calls boogers kuzies.

saw50st8,
When I grew up we too used the kuzie word! I haven't heard it in years.
I couldn't bring myself to use it with my own kids.

Shower=show show
family=fam fam (both of these were from the roommate before dh)
anything related to niddah/being together/private areas is always "mhmm mhmm" (not in a zexy way more like a factual noise) somehow we always know which one we're referring too even though it was has many meanings

What does it mean? | The closest translation is probably "torment".
