Looking for a shabbos friendly hotel

My work is graciously giving us off in a few weeks on a Friday. I would like to go with a few other couples to a hotel for the weekend. We would make our own food and stuff so it doesnt have to be a kosher place.

I also hear that pple go but I dont get it. How does it work?

How do you get into your room? You obviously cant use a hotel room key.

Where do you eat the meals, im thinking maybe a conference room....

Have you done it? Where?

I live in Lakewood, NJ so it would have to be somewhat in the NJ area....

Crowne Plaza Somerset. They have regular hotel rooms , not suites, but u can get excellent group rates with them. They also have a glatt kosher caterer if u so choose to go that route. They have plenty of conference rooms they can rent u, AND they have plenty of rooms on the first and second floor with hard key options.

Sorry don't know their # off hand but look it up at crowneplaza.com , the address is 110 Davidson Ave, Somerset, NJ. We spend almost all of our weekends there in the summer and they are amazing to us!
