This is based on my experiences. I gave dd baby food because she loved and and was getting full from it until she was abt a year. My friends that gave their children regular foods at say 8 months are much better eaters. Since dd is so used to the bland taste of baby cereal, she isnt interested in eating regular good foods. |
My ds was picky from the minute he was born. Refused to nurse, refused the bottle and now at 3 still refuses most foods.

My first 2 are complete opposites. DD1 wasn't so interested in nursing and basically weaned herself by 5 months. She liked all kinds of foods until about age 3 or so. Now she's picky.
DD2 only wanted to nurse and had no interest in food until close to age 1. Now she's the one to try new foods and usually likes them
