my daughter is currently on americhoice and at my last visit to pediatrician, they told me they are asking all patients with americhoice to switch to health plus. never even heard of this. does anyone have it? I would like to know how it compares to americhoice in terms of which doctors take it, coverage for perscriptions, copays, transportation, etc. Thanks.

Are you sure that you are not talking about Americhoice changing over to Health Net?

I don't think Health Plus pays for transportation like Americhoice, call any specialists you use and ask them if they take it too. (eye dr, dentists, etc) most will.

One can have Americhoice through Medicaid. And one can have Americhoice through Child Health Plus.
It's not Americhoice that doesn't pay for transportation. It's Health Plus that won't. And Medicaid that will. Both can be under Americhoice though.

OP needs to specify what she is referring to when she says Americhoice.

I think I may know which pediatrician OP uses... I believe my pediatrician is asking its patients who have Americhoice through medicaid to switch to Health Plus through medicaid... that's Health Plus and not Child Health Plus, which is an entirely different entity...
