WHAT???? Are you guys serious???!?!?! I can not believe it - craziness! I've known R. Levinson from Chicago for ages and I had NO CLUE that he wrote those things!! WOW!!

Yes, he certainly did. And is still a wonderful, beloved teacher and a fantastic person. He is also an amazing baal tefilah -- I get the chance to hear him when he comes to his younger daughter of Shabbos or Yom Tov and davens in our shul. He is a person of many talents. He is also the Executive Director of the Bais Yaakov HS.

This is exactly where I know him from - I met him when I interviewed for high school. He's amazing!

LOL Guess it's not that famous!

Friends, two neshamos joined
Two hearts that beat as one
Friend, you cry for my tears
You laugh just for my smile

And together we strive towards a light
Hand in hand we'll conquer the night
With you at my side, forever, serving Hashem
I will grow through your closeness, my friend

And I'll always know you'll be here for me
Your love and care mean so much, you see
As the years pass by I often cry "thank you Hashem"
For your gift so dear, my friend

Music by Rivky (Rosenberg) Pruzansky
Lyrics by Elana (Goldstein) Horwitz
NOT copyrighted, 1986 or 1987
I'm serious about this!

LOL. :-)

Maybe she did the tune!! I've always loooved the tune... :-)

actually, it's really funny, the 20th year at HASC had 'Forever One' as their finale, and my mother got free tickets as a gift/courtesy so she could shep nachas... it was really incredible, Avrohom Fried mentioned her by name and everything. And then of course the stunning HASC video played to her song, and we literally turned into faucets. Our seatmates probably thought we were certifiable but there it is...
