my 7 year old daughter has really offensive breath- not stinky, just a weird smell.
she has regular denstist visits and generally brsuhes her teeth 2x a day.
even after she brushes, that underlying odor is there.
I feel bad for her- I don't want her to lose friends bc of it (she told me one friend commented)
she does have allergies and a runny nose a lot... I read that can contribute to problem.
has anyone had this? how to cure it?
it's really bothering me and I don't know what to do!
Please help!

bad breath can be a symptom of a sinus infection.

give her acidophillis. bad breath comes from the stomach most of the times. if you'll realize, people have bad breath when they are hungry. acidophillus really help.

dd age 6 has something similar, and she brushes every day, plusgoes to dentist regularly, was recently there and she has no cavities. I switched her toothepaste recentlya nd that seemed to help. till now she a was using a kiddy type, like with princesses, bubble gum flavor. I bought her tom's from maine kids toothpaste, strawberry flavor, adn it seems to be more effective.

You say she has a runny nose. Does she have enlarged adenoids? She might have like a mucous smell, which comes from large adenoids.
