If you eat meatballs or meatloaf during the week, I wouldn't make it for Shabbos.

Shephard's Pie? Meat sauce? tacos?

I make a meat roll which is ground beef mixed with a shredded onion and green pepper, an egg, and a tablespoon of mayo (I like to use chrayonnaise to spice it up a little) and rolled in puff pastry. I make a mushroom sauce to go on top of it - it's a big favorite.

Stuffed green peppers with taco seasoned meat, tortilla chips on top (if you have them) and a good blob of hot sauce/taco sauce. Then put the top back on the pepper and it's quite pretty. Mix the meat with cooked brown rice and it's even healthyish.

Stuffed manicotti?

I think it would work to use other jelly in the sweet and sour meatballs.

If I'm not mistaken, you live in my third world country and there are things you can use instead of puff pastry and I think I actually bought a very flaky dough once.

And if you do live in my third world country, they don't even know what cranberries are shock .

Pel'myeni, golubtzi ? Where are you from that you know what these are? Wink

You can make fancy meat roll. Something like suzyq's suggestion but without puff pastry and with hard boiled eggs inside. Spread prepared ground meat on piece of foil. Arrange hard boil eggs in line in the middle, roll it and bake. It's looks very nice when you slice it.

I guess we eat different hechsherim because I buy strawberry jelly and ketchup. I don't buy the heinz, too expensive. We did get one for purim LOL , but it's all finished. I only like heinz ketchup and maybe the one from mcdonalds, so I don't eat it anyway. Like I said, you can get puff pastry or other types. Very often, I use the empanada wrappers or the other sizes for those purposes.

We love stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage rolls, meat lasagna, and meatloaf made with oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs. Yummy

Actually I misread. You meant cranberry sauce, right?
