Hello everyone! Welcome to the Toothpaste for Pesach thread, once again!!

I have been looking for brands of recommended toothpaste again this year.

So far, I have found one list by the COR:
http://www.kashrut.com/Passove.....3.pdf
TOOTHPASTE
•Aquafresh [all]
•Colgate [All except 2 in1 Liquid]
•Crest Cavity Protection Gel and Paste
•Crest Tartar Protection

There's a lot more info in this guide also.

Anyone else find another list for Pesach Toothpaste 2013?
Thanks!!!

I now keep seeing conflicting info about the Colgate 2 in 1.
Some lists say "All Colgate including 2 in 1" and other lists say "All Colgate except 2 in 1"[u]
Does have the star-k guide to verify? Thanks!!!

I looked into this last year, in regular toothpaste there is no chametz by here, and your rabbi may see it as a non food item/ non edible by a dog. It's really a shaila to ask to a local rav!

I find it so funny, Rabbis may see it as not being edible, even by a dog however my 3 year old loves it and wants to swallow toothpaste every chance she gets!

Thanks, but I did ask. My Rav holds that we don't necessarily need one with a KLP hechsher, but it needs to be on one of the "lists" ie Bloomenkrantz or Star-k. Thus, the yearly imamother topic of what's on the list!! Smile

For sure toothpaste has to be KLP. You're putting it in your mouth!

Even chutzpachani8, who is only getting a new toothbrush to keep FS from yelling at her, would use KLP toothpaste!!

Tell me one rabbi who said otherwise!!

ShanaMatele, WADR, your rav means that is has to be KLP, just doesn't have the hechsher written on it.
