I want to wash the toys today. Could I put it in a pillow case instead of a stocking bag? Do you put anything else in the load such as towels or just do the toys by themselves.

Yes, a zippered pillow case can work. I usually add towels to the load because the toys knock really hard against the machine.

I use a zippered pillow case and add one or two towels to help with the noise. I have a front loader, which makes a lot less noise.

Can I third this? I have several lingerie bags and have used them, but with towels or sheets.

It's not a good idea. It's bad for your machine and it's not good for the toys. I found that what works alot better is giving the kids the toys with a couple of sponges while they're in the bath. They love it and I wash the kids really well afterwards (no, I don't use Mr. Clean or anything like that obviously).

It really depends on a. your machine and b. the types of toys. I wash one load of lego duplo (not really chunky, huge pieces) in a front loader with towels. There's no banging or anything. Ditto to crinkles and other, similar toys. Obviously nothing with screws, or big, or metal etc...

ti works wonders for any plastic toys and washable plush ones. In my experience, giving them to the kids to sponge over doesn't get them clean but muddied.

This is only the second time I've ever needed to clean toys for Pesach. I think last time I used a big laundry bag I had from sem, but this time I will toss in some towels too. I can't imagine how it would be bad for the machine; I have a front loader and it's almost all metal inside...

I also have a front loader and have done several loads of toys already.

I don't put in a towel or put them in a bag. I just put them in on an extra water wash and let the kids sit and watch the fun.

Dolls without hair and their clothing was one of the washes yesterday and kids had a blast watching to see which of the dolls they could see at the moment through the door.

No. Water gets inside and there's no way to dry it out.

I never thought about cleaning toys for pesach. Do I need to wash our toys if my child only eats in his high chair and doesn't hold them while eating? (I always wash his hands after he eats).

So that's not different then washing it in the bathtub. I've done that and it did take a while to dry but was fine. I stood them up so water dripped down over towel, wiped 'em off and put in container layered with paper towels. Tried cleaning first with a wet shmatta but it wasn't enough. They attract dirt like yeah- magnets...

My question with wash machine was about it bumping and thumping in there...

magna tiles are best to just wipe with a damp cloth.

I'm talking toddlers with no playroom in the house so 🍞 crumbs easily stick to our toys at times.
Ask ur lor if u plan on using these toys on pesach if they need to be washed.
