Is there any way to find out of print books? I was reading my daughter a book that my mother read to me when I was a little girl and I looked at the back and the publish year was 1979. The book is in very bad shape and I would love to try to find another copy.
Would anyone know how to go about finding old books?
In this case it seems to have been distributed by feldheim (I already asked them. They dont have such books anymore) and published by a publisher that I am not even sure if they exist anymore. I tried googling the author and nothing really came up.
Does anyone have any bright ideas?

You might not be able to. Everything is not always available. You can google it or look on old book websites.

Wow that is THE BEST book! My mother still has it. But it's not in perfect shape either. (Also another book in the series, Yehudis goes to gan)

14 avenue and 44-45 street, Pinters in Brooklyn, has a mess of old books and seforim at arbitrary prices. You can ask them.

I wonder if alot of people ask Feldheim to re-print books, they may do so. if you can give them an old copy, maybe it is possible. Or find the author or a family member of the author to see if they want to do a re-hash. I have never heard of that book, but it sounds cute.

Also, another great series that I wish would be re-printed. There were a total of 18 books, so they could do 6 Three in one books. They have done it with Kid Sisters and Baker's dozen, which have already gone out of print as well.
Also, Targum/Feldheim partnership, I heard terminated. Targum Press disappeared off the publishing radar. But like I wrote early, if many people ask Feldheim to possibly re-print a book, they might.
Saadiah Weissman by Bentzion Firer, was recently re-printed. Savta Simcha books with new covers too. If you don't ask, you don't get.

In Israel try book gallery or pomerantz book store. Book Gallery are experts at finding out if print books.

There is also Holtzer Sfarim right by Mercaz Clal, they have really old books and sometimes random old feldheim/Targum. It's worth visiting the store even if you don't find the actual book.
