maclaren strollers Smile That was Sunday in Atlantic Mall.
18/18

I didn't realize it was so popular, with all this talk of city minis and vistas, it was interesting to see otherwise.

If I went to BP or Williamsburg would I see the same thing?

yes, you would. I just bought the techno xt and I really like it. Youll also see a lot of bugaboos, especially the bee.

maclaren strollers are really popular for traveling. Most who own bugaboos or other big carriages also have one for traveling.

I live in a very Chassidish neighbourhood and Maclaran is the most popular stroller by far!

I still see Maclarens too, in the residential areas of my office, in Lower Manhattan.

When I was in Israel last year, I passed a day care near my brother's house and there were tons of Maclarens outside.

Yay for my favorite stroller!

It's used a lot for traveling. There are people that have two strollers and use this when going places. I see them in the city too...

I thought you would write Bugaboo or Uppa Vista because that is all I see around here but now you mention it for shopping trips (subway stairs etc) you do see mostly maclaren. Even in england it is the most popular stroller of its type and its very reliable and sturdy. Im waiting for my mother to send me hers Wink

Don't they topple over very easily? (If you hang up a shopping bag or two on the handles?)

Not unless you've got a newborn in there. The weight of a child usually balances it out though you can always purchase carriage weights - http://www.kiddicare.com/webap.....oogle

Yup! Maclaren strollers are very popular plus bugaboos mainly by the younger generation... Many ppl with bugaboos get a Maclaren for traveling and convenience.

This post was from a while ago btw. I was just commenting that although the discussion on Imamother at the time was about bugaboos and Uppa Vista strollers it seemed that most people were pushing marclarens.
And I don't agree that they are cheap, just for travel, strollers. If it's in place of a full size stroller then you're right.

A Maclaren isn't cheap! A Toys R Us umbrella stroller is cheap.

I don't find it as pleasant to push for long periods as a full size stroller though. When I had to push my stroller from place to place all day long, I really loved my Bugaboo. I like my Maclaren for quick trips because it's easy to fold.

I do feel that it gets tippy if you try to hang things off the handles, and the basket is small (I have a Triumph).

In NYC the Maclaren is great because you can fold it for the bus.
