I love it. I've always loved it. It's also my sisters middle name, but she goes by her first name.

its funny 13 years ago my mother lost her father and a few months later gave birth. She was so distraught bec it was a girl and so she coulnt name her father name Naftuli. She ended up giving my little sis the name AYALA bec there a posek

I just named my new daughter Ayala! Any name goes with Ayala, except maybe another L name.

Its only so complicated because my other daughter is Lily (Liya) esther and between all of my sisters and sister in laws so many classic names are already used and I dont want to use a name already used in such close family members...

There are definitely a few usable options here, thanks everyone!!

The one Ayala I know is gorgeous and very sweet, so that's what I think of when I hear the name. For the middle name, something related to the parsha when she is born, or a chag?

We named our daughter Ayala, and since she was born on the first night of Chanukah, we added Chana to it. Chana Ayala.
